Description

The QuestBridge National College Match helps outstanding low-income high school seniors gain admission and full four-year scholarships to some of the nation’s leading colleges. QuestBridge works with selective colleges that are committed to opening their doors to high-achieving students regardless of family income.
Last year, more than 1,000 QuestBridge applicants were admitted to our partner colleges with financial aid packages worth over $100 million. 268 of these students received College Match scholarships covering the following costs:
• Full cost of tuition (up to $40,000 per year)
• Full cost of room and board (up to $15,000 per year)
All College Match scholarships are loan-free and meet 100% of demonstrated financial need. QuestBridge applicants who do not receive a College Match scholarship are still eligible to apply to our partner colleges for regular admission. The QuestBridge National College Match application is tailored to enable high-achieving low-income students to highlight their strengths and the obstacles they have overcome. The application is:
• free of charge
• available on the QuestBridge website (www.questbridge.org)
• due September 30, 2010
Our partners include many of the nation’s top-ranked universities and liberal arts colleges:
Amherst College • Bowdoin College • Brown University • Caltech • University of Chicago • Columbia University • Dartmouth College • Emory University • Haverford College • MIT • Northwestern University • University of Notre Dame • Oberlin College • Parsons The New School for Design • University of Pennsylvania • Pomona College • Princeton University • Rice University • Scripps College • Stanford University • Swarthmore College • Trinity College • Vassar College • University of Virginia • Washington and Lee • Wellesley College • Wesleyan University • Williams College • Yale University
The primary selection criteria are academic achievement and low-income status. Many award recipients have also been among the first generation in their families to attend college. QuestBridge does not use any specific income cut-offs, but instead considers various factors including annual family income, family size, and extenuating circumstances. Historically, most award recipients have come from households earning under $60,000 per year.
QuestBridge is a 501(c)(3) non-profit program. Our organization has worked since 1994 to connect outstanding students with college admissions, scholarships, and other educational opportunities. For inquiries about our program, please visit us online at www.questbridge.org or send an email to questions@questbridge.org. Please do not send paper mail.
